How it started
Over at Zaelot, we are heavy (and happy) users of Salesforce internally. We not only build solutions for our clients. We build solutions for our Sales and Operations teams.As a service provider, we need to regularly track contracts, projects, team allocation, team capabilities, as well as our time tracker records. And all this data flows into our Salesforce instance.
OUR PROBLEM
Manually validating project time entries via Harvest was time-consuming for our Operations Department. The entries would often be inconsistent, and would often be missing crucial pieces of data.
OUR SOLUTION
We decided to automatically analyze time entry data for consistency, business logic, and data alignment—helping teams maintain accurate records and confidence in project reporting for our clients.
This turned out to be a great solution for our Operations department. Here are a few insight on how we did it:

Built on Agentforce, within Salesforce.

Used a Salesforce Flow to retrieve Project Time Entry records for a selected user and date range.
- •
The analysis logic and behavior are defined in an Action within a Prompt Flex Template.
- •
Our Agentforce solution evaluates patterns in logged hours and task descriptions. The data is then returned from the Salesforce Flow.
The result? Peace of mind to our Operations team.
